In 2011 I aquired two captive bred hatchlings of Psammophylax
rhombeatus, bred by CornÚlius de Haan, in France. Both were very reluctant
to feed and were forcefed until the summer of 2012. One started to feed in the
summer, the other in late autumn.
In 2013 I received again two hatchlings of the same descent. One of them started to feed by itself in the summer of 2014, the second only early in December 2014. Same pattern as in the first two.
From the moment they started to feed by themselves, they fed very well and grew enormously.
The older snakes were after some months almost indistinguishable, in coloration as well as in size.
